“Write in a book”

Jeremiah always thought he was only a spoken-word minister and not a writer. He had been speaking since his youthful days when God called him to be a prophet.
One day, to his utmost surprise, God told him, “Hey, Jerry! Here is a new assignment for you.”
“What is it, Lord?” Was God asking him to go to Nineveh or Patmos or Rome to proclaim his word there.
No, this assignment was different.
“Do you recall all the prophetic messages I asked you to speak to my people?”
“Yes, Lord.”
“Okay, now put all of that into a book! (Jeremiah 30:2).
Surprise! Surprise!Jeremiah didn’t say something like, “Oh Lord, you know I’m not a writer; how can I write a book?”
No. Instead, he went on to obey the Lord—the very thing Abraham did and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.
Jeremiah solicited the help of Baruch, his editor/writer/secretary and got two books published: Jeremiah and Lamentations.Jeremiah thus put in books what the Lord told him to say to the people.
Has the Lord been asking you to put any message in a book? Maybe your devotional writings, your sermons, your teaching, your counselling talk, and other spoken-word discourse.
Don’t say you are not a writer; just say, “Yes, Lord” and get to work. Solicit the help of a secretary, a journalist, a writer, an editor, and/or a publisher. Obey the Lord and the promptings in your heart.
As Jeremiah produced the Book of Jeremiah and Lamentations, you will also produce titles to bless humanity.
